Chris Wray
With over 20 years' experience across risk, analytics and portfolio management, Chris is known for architecting platform‑encompassing solutions that unify investment workflows, risk reporting, data governance and pricing across all asset classes.
He works with global asset managers and insurers undertaking complex platform change, model rationalisation and capability enhancement programmes. At BlackRock, he bridged risk and LDI portfolio management and partnered with BlackRock Solutions to shape Aladdin features that remain in production today. He has led projects spanning data model design, derivatives integration and performance/attribution enhancements, and is frequently asked to advise on the technical strategy underpinning enterprise platform roadmaps. An early innovator in post‑implementation support, he established BAU triage practices and clear structures for internal support.
Clients turn to Chris for strategic counsel on platform architecture, data model oversight and cross‑workflow analytics, balancing rigour with delivery pragmatism. He has a special interest in helping clients implement bespoke workflows that are both scalable and future‑proof, often across global teams.
Chris holds a BA and MMath in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Financial Engineering, an MRes in Computer Science, and a PhD in Mathematics from UCL..
